Yolanda D. Smith was born on September 24, 1964, to the late Carl Hayes and Willie Dell Turner in Bessemer, Alabama.

As life progressed, she continued her Christian Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama. As life progressed, she continued her Christian journey, uniting with New Hope Baptist Church of Bessemer, Alabama.
