Willie Tubbs

Willie Lee Tubbs was born on July 2, 1941 to the late Celia and Vann Presley in Bibb County. She was educated in the Perry County School system. She confessed and accepted Christ at an early age and joined Little Rock Baptist Church in Heiberger, Alabama. She later joined Shady Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the Nurses Guild, where she remained faithful until her death. She married the later Robert B. Tubbs and to this union seven children were born. Willie departed this life of seventy one years on March 21, 2013. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Earl Tubbs, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, Vann Presley (Mattie) of Marion, Alabama, Leotha (Mildred), Jeff Tubbs, Edward Tubbs and Joseph Tubbs all of Bessemer, Alabama; three daughters, Willie Ann Presley of Killeen, Texas, Janice Tubbs and Yvonne (LeRoy) both of Bessemer, Alabama; one brother, Lee Presley of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Mary Hogue of Centerville, Alabama and Gladys Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister-in-law Laura Brown of Detroit, Michigan; one brother-in-law Walter Spears of Detroit, Michigan; eighteen grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
