Sister Willie Pearl Law Thomas was born on January 5, 1928 to the late Lonnie and Onnie Law in Choctaw County, Alabama.  Those who are commending her loving spirit into the assurance of her eternal rest and the loved ones who preceded her: Sons, Lawrence (Tricky) Law, Luker Thomas, Jr. and Louis Andrew
“Billy” Rayford;  grandson, Charles (CJ) Thomas, Jr.;  her parents, her siblings, Jessie Herman Ward, Sallie Ann Tillman, Lonnie Law, Jr., Flossie Kate Dunn, Fred Law, Willie Saul Law, Lilton Law, Amanda Tidmore and Flonnie Fluker.  Her beloved cousin Joe Tom May died Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the  Pine Grove A.M.E. Zion Church.  After moving to Bessemer, Alabama she united with Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church and was a faithful, loyal and dedicated member of the Senior Choir, Trustee Board and Deaconess Board.  She remained faithful until she answered her Father’s call home.
She regularly attended the First Baptist Church and Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church noon day Bible Study.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Luker Thomas.
She served as the matriarch of the Thomas and Law Family.  She has always been there for the Community
When you need someone to talk to,
When you need someone to sit with you,
When you need someone to go pay your bills,
When you need some to cry with,
When you need someone to mop floors, make beds, wash dishes , and
Cook.
That’s why she is the Angel of our Life.
She made her transition from life to eternity on Monday, April 8, 2019 at her daughter Ann’s home surrounded by her loving family.
A God-fearing, faithful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Willie (Lanie) Thomas, Charles Thomas, Julius (Hippie) Thomas, all of Birmingham, Alabama; two daughters, Turethea Pearl Law and  Cynthia Ann Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama; special daughter, Bernice (Tom) McCollum; grandsons,  Tyree Law, Atlanta, GA, Lawrence Conwell of Florida, Marlon and Carlos Riggs and Derrick Askew of Birmingham, AL; granddaughters, Tracey Polk, Chiquita Conwell, Tiffany Conwell, Vanessa Riggs, Adraine Thomas, Amanda Thomas, Charlecia Robinson, Ashley Thomas, Kimberly Warren, Doris Dunn, Jennifer Lockett and Kathy Dunn all of Birmingham, AL; loving and caring brother, Arthur Lee (Mary)Law; very dear friend, Mrs. Glovina Babbs of Talladega, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, extended families and friends.
