Brother Willie James Moore was born March 14, 1939 to the late Anderson and Annie Mae Moore in
Birmingham, AL.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He joined the First Baptist Church under the pastorate of
the late Rev. H.M. Moten where he served on the usher board.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Rosa B. Moore on December 18, 1960. To this union, three
children were born. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Darius Marquez Moore, His parents
Anderson and Annie Mae Moore, one sister Susie Moore and two brothers, Michael D Moore and Rufus
L. Moore.
He departed this life at home September 20, 2020 at 6:30 P.M surrounded by his family.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Rosa Moore, Birmingham, AL; Four
daughters, Susan Hampton, Hackensack, NJ; Marian Hardy, Hueytown, AL; Ola (Phillip) Cooper,
Birmingham, AL; Shirley Moore, Bessemer, AL and one son, Glenn Moore, Birmingham, AL; 10
Grandchildren, Tawana (Christopher) Hampton-Mazyck, Bethlehem City, Pennsylvania, Stacie
Sturdivant, Heather (Christopher) Williams, Phillip Cooper, Jr., Kiana Cooper, Brandon Jones, Glenn
Moore, Jr., Glenderrius Ray, Alexis Moore and Derrick Moore, all of Birmingham, AL; 15 great-
grandchildren; 3 brothers, Anderson (Marjorie) Moore, Shellie (Annette) Moore and Curtis (Patricia)
Moore; 4 sisters, Hannah Curry, Detroit, MI, Dorothy Johnson, Jamaica, NY, Velma Brooks and Aldorthia
Burrell, Birmingham, AL; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
