The Life of Willie Willie was born December 21, 1952 to the late Mr. Willie Jones and Ola B. Jones in Dallas County, Alabama. Willie was a graduate of Keith High School in Orrville, Alabama, Class of 1971. Willie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Church in Dallas County. As his health began to fail him, he re-dedicated himself to Christ and joined 5th Avenue Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Calvin Bell. Willie was a 40 year retiree with the City of Bessemer as a skilled laborer and continued to live life as it came. He was a dedicated die hard fan for the Alabama Crimson Tide, ROLL TIDE! On Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:10 A.M. in the morning Willie was quietly called home to be with his Savior, his parents and his son Lorenzo (Noid) in the presence of his loved ones at his bedside in his home. Willie leaves to cherish: a loving and devoted caregiving wife, Shirley Hollis Jones; daughters, Shunte (Jerry) of Hoover, AL, Jaquita of Fairfield, AL, Shanteka Moore and Princess McKinney both of Bessemer, AL; sons, Willie Moore, Robert (Cedricka) Hollis and DeSharme Jones all of Bessemer, AL; grandchildren, Alexis, Destiny T, Dameon, Lorenz, LaNoid, Dekyriel, Zakiya, Destiny J., Mekhi, Deshawn, Demetrius, Robert, Jr., Rodriel and Ciera; brothers, Willie (Zena), Noah (Mable), Abraham (Lillie) of Florida, Roosevelt and Howard (Dorothy) of Selma,AL; former wife and friend, Shirley J. Jones; dedicated sister and brothers in-law, Christine (Kerry) Bates, Veronica Johnson, James Dunning, Tiniasha (Rodney) Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
