Willie Ann Smith-Paries-Hill 73, was born on December 13, 1940 to George Smith Sr. and Eloise Smith in Selma, Alabama. Her pre-kindergarten education was spent at Knox Academy, Selma, Alabama. She attended Alabama Lutheran Academy from kindergarten to High School, after graduation, she subsequently studied at Concordia College in Selma, Alabama. Moving to Bessemer, Alabama in 1976, she worked as a Pharmacist Technician at UAB Hospital for many years. Her passion for children prompted her to become a volunteer grandmother at JCEEO. She reentered the work force in the early 2000 and worked at Sam's Club until 2013. Willie Ann gave her life to her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Generosity of Christ Ministries in Bessemer, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Linda Blocker. She peacefully transitioned this life on August 4, 2014, at UAB Medical West. Willie Ann leaves to cherish her memories a loving father, George Smith Sr. She was the beloved mother of Mona Lisa Paries-Zinnerman (Derrick), Daisy Teresa Paries, Nancy Darlene Paries, Timotheus Paries Jr, and Alfred J. Hill (Shon). Willie Ann is also survived by her siblings, Virginia Dambreville (Jean Claude), Carolyn Smith, Mamye L. Smith, Lymbra Key (Cashuh), Verlyne Moten, Hester Hall, Steronica Dunston-Mattocks, Theophilus Smith, Quintos Dunston, Melvin Hall, and William Hall. Devoted grandmother of Tavoris Paries, Kelvin Paries, Derrick Zinnerman Jr (Sherry), Broderick Paries, Stephan Garlington Jr, Jasmine Zinnerman, Timotheus (RayShawn) Walker, Semoyne Paries and Sequoia Paries. She was a doting great grandmother of fourteen. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Willie Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise Smith; her brothers, George Smith Jr, Ronald Smith, Nathan Smith, and Christopher Smith.
