Steven Williams

Steven "Steve" Williams, born June 27, 1952 to the late Philip and Reatha Williams, was called home on August 19, 2016. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers; Phillip Jr. and Charles Williams, brother-in-law; Abe Johnson, and sister- in-laws; Annie Pearl Chestner and Sonya Thomas. Steve graduated from Wenonah High School in 1971 before enlisting into the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. He was employed with Rohn Corp. for 23 years before closing and attended Lawson State Community College from 1980-1982.        Steve enjoyed working with his hands, skills of carpentry and living off the land. Those that knew him, knew he was "A Simple Man", never letting the worries of life worry   him. He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife of 44 years, Gwendolyn Williams, father and mother-in-law: Mr. James and Mrs. Earnestine Thomas, B'ham, Al; brothers: Jimmie (Wanda) and Willie (Mary), Bham, Al.; Sisters: Alene Johnson, Carolyn Winfield and Cornelius Williams, B'ham, Al; Jessie (Charlie) Crumady, Providence, RI; Brother-in-law: Rodrick Thomas, B'ham, Al; Sister-in­ laws: Donna (Jerome) Davis and Sharron Williams, B'ham, Al.; 1Aunt: Amanda Anderson, Buffalo, NY.; and a host of Nieces, Nephew, Cousins and  friends.
