Shirley Ann High was born on June 14, 1945 to the late Willie James Prince and Mary Prince Terry in Bessemer, Alabama. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W.A. Clark. She remained a faithful member until her health began to decline.
Shirley was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie High, Jr. and to this union one daughter was born. Shirley was a dedicated & extremely hard worker. She dedicated 42 years with Hayes Aircraft & Pemco Aeroplex.
Shirley was affectionately known as “Auntie”. She was a very sweet loving person with a giving spirit. She was preceded in death by: stepfather who reared her, Till Terry, Jr.; brother, Richard James Prince; sister, Michelle Terry; nephews, Orlando Thomas, Cedric Prince and Hondre DeJuan Vann, Jr.
Left to cherish her memories: daughter, Consuelo (Corey) Varner, Bessemer, AL; granddaughter, J’Kylah High, Bessemer, AL; brothers, Bobby Terry, Birmingham, AL, Lorenzo (Susan) Terry, Ellenwood, GA, Jackie Till Terry, Bessemer, AL, Anthony Tyrone Terry, Pleasant Grove, AL and Carlos DeWayne (Kenya) Terry, Dunwoody, GA; sisters, Maple Terry-Tabb and Phyllis E. Vann both of Birmingham, AL; very dear friend and church member, Brenda Vance;and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved relatives and neighbors.
