Sherrilynn Browning was born January 8, 1964 in Choctaw County, Alabama. Her parents preceded her in death, Frank and Hesterine Browning. Sherrilynn matriculated at Jess Lanier High School and was a member of the Class of 1982. She was employed by AT&T, formerly known as Bellsouth Mobility and Cingular Wireless. Sherrilynn confessed her hope and belief in Jesus Christ at an early age, however she rededicated her life to Christ in her teen years, and led many of her classmates to the Lord. She continued her love Journey for Christ by leading others to Christ, and being faithful to Him by never being ashamed to share her faith. Sherrilynn was a member of the New Bethlehem Baptist Church family for more than forty-five years. She was anointed with the gift of singing and exercised her gift through ministering to God's people through the Music Ministry at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, UAB's Echoes of Faith and many other choirs and ensembles throughout Jefferson County and the State of Alabama. Precious memories remain for all that knew her: a loving, caring and devoted twin sons, Devin and Evin Michael Browning of Hueytown, AL; three loving sisters, Mary Alice Browning of Hueytown, AL, Felicia Ann Sailes (Roderick) of Calera, AL, and Mollie Ruth January (Alfonza) of Bessemer, AL; very special uncles, Joe Nathan McSwain of New Orleans, LA and Eddie Lee (Georgia) Chaney of LaFayette, LA; three nieces, Kennedy Elise Sailes of Calera, AL, Tonesha Smith of Arlington, TX and Janica January of Alabaster, AL; one nephew, Alfonza January, Jr. of Bessemer, AL; one goddaughter, Renee Patterson of Boston, MA; two grand nieces, two grand nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
