Ruby Maul

Sister Ruby Nell Maul was born on August 31, 1938 to the late Ms. Marie Massey and Mr. Henry Edwards in Hale County, AL. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age in Hale County, AL. She later moved to Bessemer, AL, where she met and married Mr. Grady J. Smith. To this union six children were born. She united with the New Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend William H. Walker, Sr. There she remained a faithful member until death. She was employed at the Cooper Green Hospital, having retired after twenty-two years of dutiful service. She later married Mr. Calvin Maul. She was preceded in death by both husbands, Mr. Grady J. Smith, Mr. Calvin Maul; also, granddaughter Adrianne D. Knox. She departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2013. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Mr. Dewaine (Venus) Smith and Demetrius Smith; four daughters, Mrs. Shelia (Isaac) Knox, Mrs. Franchisca (Billy) Jones, Mrs. Valerie (Eddie) Yearby, and Mrs. Debbie (Leon) Pennington; twenty-seven grandchildren, Gemica, Santasha, Jamarcus, Tony, LaShanda, Lyndris, Jaurice, Nikia, E'toria, Bobby II, Delicia, Valecio, Samoria, Brandon, Dearius, Isaiah, Bria, Ayanna, LeAnthony, BriAnna, Dewaine, Zacoria, Demetrius Jr., Isaac III, Dashanna, Roshell, and Venecia; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
