Ruby Harris

Ms. Ruby Nell Harris was born on December 9, 1956 to the late Lester and Ruth Harris.
She attended Bessemer City Schools. She worked for the Alabama Department of Transportation for several years.
Nell confessed Christ at an early age and later became a loyal member of New Hope Baptist Church of Bessemer.
She was preceded in death by her sister Augusta and brothers Nathaniel, Sylvester, Michael, and Bernard Harris. Nell leaves to cherish in her memory two loving and devoted daughters, Demetrice R. Harris and Tomeka R. Harris; three grandsons, Michael, Cordarius, and Tyrick Harris; and the love of her life her great granddaughter Melanie A. Harris -“Ma”; two brothers, Lester Harris and Jimmy Harris(Eloise); five sisters, Frances Bates(Tyrone), Deborah Harris, Diane Chappell, Donna Harris and Dorothy Harris. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives with a wonderful group of lifelong friends.
