Ronald Parker Williams was born on August 24, 1955 in Bessemer, Alabama, to the late Sterling and Flo Parker Williams. He was the fourth of six children. Ronnie joined the McCalla Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church in Bessemer, Alabama at an early age, where he served on the Board of Stewards, was a choir member and member of the Usher Board. Ronnie attended William A. Bell Junior High School and graduated from McAdory High School in 1973. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1976. After leaving the Marine Corp he attended Bessemer State Technical School where he studied Upholstery. He worked for Diamond Rubber Plant, Jackson Masonry, Wickes Lumber Company, 84 Lumber Company and Central Supply Company. During this time he also worked for Domino’s Pizza. Ronnie spent most of his time helping family and was always ready with a joke. Ronnie made his transition on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Jeannine M. Wilkerson. Memories of love and laughter will continue to be held by his daughter Lanita Woods, Birmingham; siblings, Carol (Lonnie) Cockrell, Bessemer, Alabama, Michael (Lorene) Williams, Columbus, Georgia, Andrea (Barnard) Montgomery, Bessemer and Sterling Williams, Jr., McCalla, Alabama; three aunts, Sarah Stocker and Frozene Jones, Los Angeles, California and M. Jean Norwood, South Ozone Park, New York; three uncles, Augustus Parker, Chicago, Illinois, Buford (Gale) Parker, Midfield, Alabama, and Ralph (Carolyn) Parker, Chelsea, Alabama; Great uncle, Caesar Parker, Chicago, IL. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
