Ronald Terry

Mr. Ronald L. Terry, affectionately called Ronnie, was born August 28, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama to Arie L. Terry. During Ronald’s upbringing his aunt, Velator Burrell played a significant role in raising him. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Roosevelt City under the leadership of Reverend W.M. Norwood; being an active member in the church, Ronald served on the Junior Usher Board. He was a graduate of Wenonah High School Class of 1973. Continuing his education, Ronald graduated from Bessemer State Technical College majoring in Welding. Dedicated in his desired field he worked for several companies two being Pullman Standard and Altec. After being a diligent worker Ronnie served on Team 7, as an election poll worker, for his close friend Councilwoman Sandra Faye Little. Ronald had a passion for fishing; an abundance of love for God, family and friends. Ronnie was united in Holy Matrimony to Annette McIntyre on March 28, 1997. To this union two children were born. The impact of his humorous spirit, personality, strong will and love will last with us forever. He was preceded in death by: his father; brother, Edward D. Terry; mother-in-law, Pauline McIntyre; sister-in-law, Shequita Simpson and “greatest inspiration” his grandmother, Donnie Irene Johnson.   Ronnie departed this life Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife, Annette Terry; children, Corey Terry and Nakeita (Clarence) Terry; “apple of his eye” granddaughter, Morgan Rice; warm caring mother, Arie L. Terry; aunts, Velator (Nate) Burrell, Ossie Harris, Minnie Rembert and Velma Smart; uncles, Napoleon Johnson and John (Evelyn) Johnson; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Catherine) McIntyre, Larry (Linda) McIntyre, Ray McIntyre, Greg (Delois) McIntyre, Paul McIntyre, Darryl (Carmen) McIntyre and Tony Simpson; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Orlando), Geraldine Terry and a host of other relatives and friends.
