Roderick Cannon

Roderick "Rod" Goudy Cannon was born September 26, 1965, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Tom A. Cannon and Willie P. Cannon. Roderick attended Our Lady of Fatima from grades one through eight. He also served as an altar boy while attending Our Lady of Fatima. His high school years were spent at Wenonah High School where he played football and graduated in 1983. Later he completed studies at Rets Electronics. He was untied in holy matrimony to Carla Coleman and was employed with Goudy Construction Company. Rod was a cheerful and charismatic person who met no strangers. He was also a loving and devoted husband. Roderick departed this life Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving wife, Carla; three daughters, Niesha, Rodricka and Aaronda; a loving mother, Willie P. Cannon; one brother, Tommy (Allison) Cannon; one nephew, Tyler; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives.
