Robert Andrews AKA "Noonie" was born on March 23, 1936 to George Andrews and Lula Belle Washington-Andrews in Bessemer, Alabama. As a child Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Robert's gift was singing and as a child sang in Church and later was part of a quartet and could be heard singing on the radio. Robert was ambitious and always wanted more out of life. As a teen he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where his career started as a baker. While in Cleveland, he met and married Mary Andrews and from that union four children were born. Looking for a better life for him and his family, in the late 1960s he relocated to Los Angeles, California. Entrepreneurship has always been in Robert's blood and throughout his life he owned several bakeries and most known for owning "Papa's Barbeque and Bakery", which was named after him. Papa's was known for Robert's homemade rolls and the "secret barbeque sauce". While running his own businesses Robert maintained his regular "9 to 5" as a Baker at various well known grocery chains. He believed in working hard to get what you want and not asking for a hand out. He was a loyal and dedicated employee and never missed a day of work. In the mid 1980's he united with Patzie; and in the mid 1990's met and married Jacqueline Andrews and from that union raised four children. He then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and then in 2008 relocated to Las Vegas. He was a sharp dresser, loved cars, and the better things in life; He had a passion for singing, barbequing, shooting pool, and after a long day of work Robert was known for having a nice cold one! He was one of sixteen children and is survived by: wife, Jacqueline Andrews;children, Mark (preceded in death), Anthony, Samirah, Robbi, Kim, Jeffrey, Cornelius, Monique, and Dominique; grandchildren, Danielle, Gabrielle, Nadia, Valynncia, Javaun "Tyme" Andrews; siblings, Annie Bell, Delores, and Booker T; two best friends, Frank and Ernest Jones; and his best best friend "Lady" and a host of nieces and nephews.
