Quintin Dwayne Martin-Mayhand, affectionately known as Quick, was born to Bernard and Beverly Faye Mayhand on June 26, 1968 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was educated in the Birmingham System and also attended the Alabama School of the Deaf and Blind, where he became fluent in sign language. Quintin has always been the life of the party. He loved his family and many friends tremedously. His contagious smile and magnetic personality allowed him to never meet a stranger.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his children: Christopher Gentiley, Justin Thomas, Otellis Bowen, Jaquise Harris, Jaylon Johnson, Quinyah Martin, Quintin Martin, Jr, Chrystal Ford, Mya Struggs, Jakiyah Miles, and Jaylon Ford; his mother, Beverly Faye Mayhand; his sibilings Juanikee Mayhand-Parks (Charles), Leticia Mayhand, Reginald and Eric Steele; his nieces, Stephanique Watkins and Alexis Hunter; his nephews, Rodney Mayhand, Ronald Mayhand, Michael McCarty and Wilbur Hunter; his grandchildren, Anthony, Antonio, Nevaeh, Ja’Kenya, Kemonte, Kassidy,Ja’Cari; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
