And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. -Revelation 21:4 Quentin Corey Hunter, II, affectionately called "Lil Corey" was born on August 4, 1995 to Germeria and Corey Hunter in Birmingham, Alabama at Brookwood Hospital. At an early age, he confessed hope in Christ and joined Hill City Ministry in Bessemer, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Frank Nevett. Corey enjoyed singing and was a part of the praise and worship ministry. Corey was very gifted and talented. He loved theater and performing arts. He was selected from numerous candidates to play a key role in the renowned Broadway play, "Oliver" which was showcased at the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Corey attended schools within the Bessemer and Hoover School Systems. He graduated from Spain Park High School in 2013. Known by family and friends as a mild-mannered, loving, and playful person, but Corey could also be goofy and silly at times. It was well known that Corey was very fashionable and loved collecting Jordans. Corey was a friendly person who met no strangers and was a dear friend to many people. He truly loved his family and friends and shared a very special relationship with his daughter, Aubree Hunter. Lil Corey departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He leaves to mourn: a dear loving and caring mother, Germeria Hunter; father, Quentin Corey Hunter I; daughter, Aubree Hunter (Natalie Williams); son, Dorian Peoples; sisters, Biondi Miller, Kobe Hunter, Shaundreaka Terrell and London Johnson; brother, Jamal Stokes; grandparents, Jimmy and Mureldene Jackson, Patricia Seay and Jackie Hunter; great grandmothers, Ethel C. Dudley and Willie Lee Hunter; uncles, Milton Miller, Jr. (Tonia) and Roy Hunter (Tyese); aunt, Tara Seay Hunter (Terrence); nephews, Brayon Miller and Breon Bishop; special friends and family, Kelvin Smith, Barkeii Minter, Charleston Watkins, Shaquille Hunter, Cortez Miller, Merriman Bell, II (Whoodie) and Jackie Bell; a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, special relatives and friends.
