Sister Ola Mae Lacey was born in Jefferson County, Alabama on January 12, 1925, to the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Zola Mae Ware. Ola Mae received her education from the Bessemer City Public School System. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Oscar Lacey in April of 1947. They were blessed with one daughter, Barbara Ann Lacey and one son, Robert Studmyer, both who preceded them in death. Oscar and Ola Mae lived a happy 62 years together sharing their love with family and friends. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with The Greater Fourteenth Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. H. White. She was a faithful and active member for over 50 years serving on the Senior Usher Board Ministry, the Trustee Wives Ministry, the Matron Ministry and the Manna Ministry. Ola Mae departed this life on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at UAB Medical West Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted family: four sisters, Billie (J.D.) Cunningham, Bessemer, Alabama, Doris (Milton) Ross, Pensacola, Florida, Elva Lois, Washington and Bethenia Holiness, Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, George (Addie) Davis, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; three grandchildren; The Greater Fourteenth Street Missionary Baptist Church Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved her.
