"Happy thoughts and by gone days are never lost.. In truth they grow more wonderful within the heart that keeps them." Kay Andrew Sister Minnie L. Blackmon was born in Jefferson County, January 4, 1924 to the late Robert and Leona Swan. She confessed Christ and joined the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of the Deaconess, Matrons Missionary Society, Senior Choir, Sunday School Class # 2, Out Reach Ministry, and Black History Choir. She served faithfully until her health failed. She was married to the late brother Charlie L. Blackmon. She was preceded in death by seven of her sibling. She departed this life Friday, January 8, 2010 at Fairfield Rehabilitation Center.
