Mrs. Martha Louise Parham was born February 17, 1956. She departed this life on Sunday evening, February 27, 2022.
She confessed hope in Christ in her early childhood at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bell Sumpter under the leadership of Reverend W. J. Caldwell. She then later joined her new church home at New Antioch Church in Bessemer, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Tony R. Ware where she served as a beloved choir member and Mission Ministry member.
She was a God fearing woman who believed in peace, love and joy. She always had a smile that would brighten up a room and a heart of gold. She was given the nickname, “Sunshine” by her pastor for her bright and warm personality. Mrs. Martha Louise James Parham was a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Ben (Maple) James; stepfather, Willie Sterling; sister, Patricia James Hughes; brother, Jimmy L. Moore and living friend, Alfred Parham.
She leaves to honor her legacy and cherish her memories to her two daughters, Demetrice Thomas and Neeshae Parham; three special nephews, Terry (NaStarisha) James, Terrance James and Jeremy James; one brother, Johnny (Felicia) James; four grandchildren, Maurice, Asia, Aniesha and Railee; six great grandchildren, Melanie, Kennedi, Marley, De’Asia, A’morah and soon to be Mariah and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
