Sister Maggie Cole Jackson was born in Marion, Alabama to the union of the late Deacon Young Moore Sr. and the late Bertha Moore on January 8, 1935. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Hill. She later moved to Bessemer, Alabama and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church under the late Rev. H.J. Jones. She was duly employed at University Hospital, Paul Lamplighter and Holiday Inn as a cook. She worked at Birmingham Stove and Range and Estee's Nursing Home in Hoover, Alabama until she retired. Maggie was preceded in death by: her husband, Alphonzo Cole Jr.; five brothers; four children, Alphonza Cole III, Valeria Terrell, Linda Jenkins and Ricky Cole; and two grandchildren. She leaves to cherish: a loving and devoted husband, John A. Jackson; six sons, Michael Stanton (Vicki) of Birmingham, AL, Lee (Martha) Cole of Dothan, AL, Arthur Cole of Akron, OH, Johnny (Reda) Cole, Bryant (Debora) Cole of Bessemer, AL and stepson, Joe Jackson; four daughters, Carolyn (Henry) Beckwood, Debra (Willie) Smith, and Teressa (Howard) Hinton and stepdaughter, Geraldine Jones, all of Bessemer, AL; thirty-seven grandchildren; fifty great-grands; one great-great-grand, Me-Loni Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and other family and friends. She also leaves special nieces, Cynthia Cole and Rausilune Gillespie. Special thanks to James Cole for his concern for his sister-in-law and thanks to Ruby Jean Avery for her love and support, and two very special grandsons, Frezell (Mayor) Warren and Tarell (Carlo) Cole.
