In her young adult life she united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ollis Shaw, Sr. She united her Christian faith with the Bethel Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama where she served faithfully for several years. She was a devoted member for Deaconess and the Nurse Guild. Sister Shaw was a faithful member until her death. She also served diligently with the Jerusalem Baptist Church, Bessemer, Alabama for many years. She touched the life of every person she met in a special way. She took care of all people in her life as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a relative, a friend, and a caregiver. She was well known in the community through her service as a member of the Bessemer Voters League, the Christian union, and Shaval's Social and Saving Club. On Friday, February 25, 2011, at 12:43 P.M. a special life on this earth came to a close and she passed from her earthly home to go to her heavenly home.
