DEMBY, LULA B., age 80, of Bessemer, died on September 27, 2022. She was a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mentor, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband (Bobby), granddaughter (Latonya), parents (Eddie & Susie Brown), brother (Eddie Jr.), aunt & uncle (Fannie & Jessie Brown), nephews (Rodney
Brown and Lester Brown), niece (Cicely Bomar), in-laws (Odessa & Riley Demby) and Sister In-law (Edith Demby). She is survived by her devoted Sons: Lt Col Byron (Debbie), Bertram (Stacy), Bobby (Andrea), and Brandon (Tye). She was Grandma to Latoi, Latonya, Domonique, Bobbie Danielle, Byron II, Brooke, Bryce, Brittany, Brandon Jr., Blake, Brian, Braxton, Daniel, Christopher, Christian, and Brianna & Great Grandma to Dallice, Marshall, Cairo, and Cas. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Brown and Dorothy Terry, Brother In-law Lorenzo (Allene) Demby, Sister In-Law Carlotta
(Curtis) Bomar, nephews: Rev Ray (Janice) Brown and Courtney Bomar, nieces: Durlynn (T.J.) Jackson, Paula (David) Swanson, Wendi Baldwin, Rashida Demby, and Dafnie (Donald) Jones. She leaves a host of several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Chambers Funeral Home, Bessemer, AL. Funeral services will be held at the 2nd Ave Beulah Baptist Church, Bessemer, AL at 11:00 am on Saturday,
October 8th officiated by the Rev Eugene Warren with burial at the Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.
