Lorene Crosby was born July 8, 1960 to the late Sedrict Riggs and Sarah Ann Riggs. She was educated in the Birmingham School system, graduating from G. W. Carver High. She went on later to further pursue her education by attending college.
Lorene accepted Christ at an early age, and later joined Trinity CME. She was a faithful member and enjoyed singing in the choir and serving with the missionaries which included working with the Seniors which especially brought her great joy.
Lorene married Amos Crosby, Jr. ;and from this union , they had two children: Vontrail (Johnetta) Riggs and Cynthia Crosby and later to note two grand daughters: Kiersten Aimyah Coleman and Arayah Hope Riggs.
Lorene tirelessly worked in customer service, food service and preparations with companies such as K&G clothing and Church's. She spent 15 years at Wal-Mart as a dedicated employee and manager. She also worked for the Birmingham School System delivering lunch and smiles to those that needed it most.
She was preceded in death by her brother Henry Ford.
Left to cherish her memories are her children and grandchildren, sisters: Eliza Means (late. Eugene Means), Della Ford Lee (Milton Lee), Brenda Campbell (Vincent Floyd), Patricia Holder (James Holder); brothers: Claude Riggs (Keshia McCray) and Sedrict Riggs, Jr. (Nettie Riggs); special cousin, Angeline Riddle; special granddaughter, Tierra Jones; special son, Antonio Miller; a nd a host of dearly loved nephews and nieces and many friends.
