Lillian Olivia Waller Jones

Sister Lillian Waller Jones' amazing life came to a peaceful conclusion on April 11, 2025. She was born to the late Benjamin Waller and the late Harvella Moorer Waller on July 12, 1926.

Lillian, fondly known as "Lee" was educated in the Jefferson County School System and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from Miles College and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Secondary English Education. She dedicated her life to education, teaching in public schools and at the graduate level in New Jersey.

She was raised in a Godly home and confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church, Roosevelt City. She later, united with First Baptist Church of Fairfield, where she served faithfully as a Deaconess and an active member of the Missionary Society. Lillian continued her devoted service until her health and age no longer allowed her to do so.

Lillian was united in matrimony to Riley E. Jones, Sr. and to this union, one son, Riley E. Jones, Jr. was born. Both Riley Sr. and Riley Jr. preceded here in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a caring circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives, friends, church, and community family.

Throughout her life, "Lee" demonstrated an extraordinary artistic talent. She created beautifully detailed quilts, showcased her skills through crewel embroidery framed wall art, and maintained both vibrant vegetable and flower gardens.

"Lee" also had a deep love for her pets, who were treated not merely as animals, but as cherished members of her family.
