"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."-2 Timothy 4:7 Deacon Julius Brown Sr. was born to the late Archie Brown and Carrie L. Brown in Perry County on April 22, 1928. He retired from Pullman Standard for over 30 years. Deacon Brown joined Bessemer #1 International Ministries Church of God in Christ where he has served for over 15 years. He remained a faithful Deacon who was devoted to his Pastor, First Lady, and church family. He really loved serving the Lord. He was a man of few words but touched lives of many. Deacon Brown was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Elouise Brown. Preceding Deacon Julius Brown in death are: his father Archie Brown; his mother, Carrie Brown; his brother, Eddie Brown; his son, Julius E. Brown (Priscilla Brown); his grandson, Calvin D. Brown and special friend, Jeannell J. Ennis. He leaves to cherish precious memories: Six beautiful children, Coleman C. Brown (Brenda) and Cathy Taylor (William), of Durham, North Carolina, Carolyn Brown, JoAnne Brown, Mark R. Ennis (Gwen), Jeannell C. Ennis, Edith S. Ennis, all of Bessemer, Alabama; Sixteen grandchildren; Sixteen great-grandchildren; Two great-great grandchildren. He has a host of other relatives, , loved ones, and special friends.
