Joyce Ann Olds

On July 15, 2024, the Lord plucked a flower from our garden that will be greatly missed, our sister and friend Joyce Ann Olds (June 6, 1950 to July 15, 2024). She was the oldest of six children born to Edmond, Sr. and Ella Ruth Olds.

Joyce lived and worked in Chicago, Illinois for 46 years.  She was the mother of one son, Randall Len Olds, who preceded her in death.  She retired in 2014 and moved back to Birmingham, Alabama and became a member of the Ensley Church Christ where she loved being a member with such wonderful people. She was a great-great Alabama Fan. "Roll Tide"!, is what you would hear her say. She loved being home so she could sit on her front porch and just enjoy the peace.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Mary Olds of Fairfield, AL; one sister, Mary Olds of Fairfield, AL; three brothers, Milton and Laura Olds, Gary and Linda Olds, Randall and Cheryl Olds, all of Birmingham, AL, her oldest brother, Edmond, Jr., preceded her in death. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews, Yolanda (Baby Doll) and Demetris Hall, Kesha, Milton, Jr., Orín and Bre Olds, Ariel, Christopher, Zandra, RaiSean, Lil Gary and Milton, Jr., Orín and Bre Olds, Ariel, Christopher, Zandra, RaiSean, Lil Gary and Jaquita and a host of great nieces and nephews, Edmond, Erin, Elissa, Ethan (Wack-a-Doodle), and Jamarion. Special friends, Julia, Paula, and Irma and a host of other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
