Obituary The late brother James Wesley Thomas was a devoted husband and father who always put the interest of his family first. He also saw that his children were given the best that he could provide. James was born April 6, 1934 to the late Bruce Thomas and Rosa Mae Pinkard in Birmingham, Alabama. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. James retired from McWane Cast Iron Pip Industries. After retirement he worked at Telco Credit Union and started his own lawn care service. On Wednesday, June 12, 2017, God sent His angels to carry James to his heavenly home. The memories we have of James will always be dear to our hearts. We will not mourn his passing but rejoice that he has gone to a more beautiful place. James was preceded in death by his son, James (Gloria) Edwin Thomas. James leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Earnestine Thomas; daughters, Gwendolyn Williams and Donna (Jerome) Davis; son, Roderick Thomas; sisters, Annette (Gene) Soul, Bernice Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, grand and great grandchildren.
