James Griffin

Mr. James W. Griffin was born September 10, 1926 to the late Mr. Tommie Lee and Mrs. Fannie Griffin. His Heavenly Father called him to rest on Monday, July 6, 2020.
He attended Woodward Elementary and Brighton High School. He began working with the Woodward Iron Company from 1942 until his retirement. He met the love of his life and they were later united in Holy Matrimony. He loved golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by three brothers: Mr. Tommie Lee Griffin, Jr., Mr. Johnnie Griffin and Mr. Elijah Griffin; three sisters: Mrs. Mable Griffin Eggleston, Mrs. Rosie Griffin Moss and Mrs. Fannie Mae Griffin Hayes.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife and soulmate, Mrs. Octavia Jones Griffin; two brothers: Mr. Herman “Pat” Griffin, San Antonio, TX., and Mr. Franklin Griffin, (Joyce) Natchez, MS; one sister, Mrs. Queen Ester Griffin Grace, Maylene, AL; one step-daughter, Ms. Patricia Henderson James, Daytona Beach, FL; one grandson, Mr. Carlos James, Daytona Beach, FL; one granddaughter, Mrs. Carla James Towns (Randolph, II), Trussville, AL, one great-granddaughter, Miss Cynia Hawkins, and two great-grandsons: Master Randolph Towns, III, and Master Cason Towns and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
