Howard L. Rucker

Howard Lee Rucker affectionately known as "Bae-Brother" to his family and later known as "POPS" within the Midfield community, was born January 4, 1957, to Eula B. Kelly and Joseph E. Rucker (Deceased) in Birmingham, Alabama. Howard received his formal education within the Birmingham City Schools System, completing High School at A.H. Parker HS in 1975. Over the years he worked in several places, but most notable was his time spent at the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for 20 years and the Killeen Independent School District for eight years. Howard was devoted to his family, friends, and community where he was widely respected and loved. He was fun, loving, courteous, kind, and generous in his own way. Howard also, had a personal relationship with Christ starting at Faith Followers Spiritual Church of Truth and recently as a member of New Visions Enrichment Church, serving under the leadership of Pastor Rickie Carter, Sr. He leaves behind his loving mother, Eula B. Kelly. His sisters, Josephine Rucker and LaShundra Kelly. His children Tiana Coleman (Ira), DeMarcus D. Rucker, and Jonathan M. Daniels (Tameika). His blended siblings Yusuf Hasan (Harlem, NY), Joseph Rucker, Jr. (Annie), Betty Mixon (Milwaukee, WI), Patricia Knight (Mobile, AL) and Ahmad Jamal Rucker. His love extended to his grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and church family.
