Henry Allen

Henry Edward Allen, age 59, a native of Thorpe, West Virginia and a resident of Bessemer, AL passed away peacefully on January 17, 2011 surrounded by family and friends at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Carr-Allen. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara Parham-Allen; daugthers, Selenia Allen, Kimberly Allen and Tiffany (Ronald) Crowder; father, Henry W. (Gloria) Allen; brother, Richard (Louise) Scales; step-brother, Fredrick M. (Terri) Brown; grandchildren, Barry, Keera, Alesia, Anitra and Travis; special friend and co-worker, Ernest Charles Craig and a host of nieces and nephews. Home going celebration services will be held Friday, January 21, 2011, 11:00AM at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Pastor William H. Walker, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Bessemer. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 6:00-7:00P.M. at Chambers Funeral Home.
