Hazel Bibbs Parker was born February 18th 1956 to the Late Mack and Annie Bibbs. Hazel accepted Christ at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Primus Mack, Sr. where she remained a member until her death. Hazel was educated in the Jefferson County School System. She was a 1975 graduate of Hueytown High School. She was employed with Drummond Coal Mine for Sixteen years. After her tenure with Drummond Coal she was a caregiver for the elderly and worked as a patient care tech at various nursing homes. In 1990 Hazel married the love of her life Alfred Parker. She was a devoted and loving wife for 27 years. She will be remembered by her loving husband, Alfred Parker, two daughter; Michelle Bibbs and Eyrika Parker, two grandchildren Jared and Jaleya Bibbs, two greatgrandchildren; Jayden Bibbs and Kaymyn Sims, five sisters; Sadie (David) Mathews, Beulah Carr, Mildred Dowdley, Ida (Chelsia) Peyton and Linda McMillan, five brothers; Mack (Velma) Bibbs, Jr., Robert (Marily) Bibbs Hilliard (Helen) Bibbs, Freddie Bibbs, and Stanley Bibbs, five sister-in-law; Madeline (Pat) Parker, best friend: Janice Parker, Pamela Baker, Cornelia Hollman and Paula Parker; two brother-in-law: Clarence (Evelyn) Parker and Ralph Parker- whom she called “Bug”, two aunts: Irene Smith and Louvenia Cook, one uncle: Tealler Bowden and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and many friends.
