George Steelman

George Steelman, born May 21, 1929, peacefully transitioned this earthly life on July 15, 2012. He is survived by: daughters, Judy (Doug) Cobb of Decatur, Betty (Wade) Kelley of Athens, Peggy (Jim) Dugger of Faulkville, Hazel (Jack) Barnes of Athens, Nancy Blankenship of Athens, June Steelman of Athens; sons, Larry Steelman of Athens, Jerry (Joan) Steelman of Athens, and Terry (Brenda) Steelman of Athens; twenty-six grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren. Mr. Steelman was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Steelman, one daughter, Tammy Steelman and one daughter-in-law, Esther Steelman.
