Mrs. Fannie May Burgin was born to the late Robert Burgin, Sr. and Estell Burgin on March 19, 1939 in Bessemer, Alabama and the oldest of ten siblings. She attended Dunbar High School and was loved by everyone she knew and met. Fannie spent many years working in the Bessemer City School system where she eventually retired from. Fannie could light up any room with her beauty and was always complimentary toward others. Her love and light would shine so brightly always; she was truly a blessing to everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Underwood; daughter, Valeria; sons, Rodney and Danny Burgin; brothers, Robert, Jr. and Willie James Burgin; sisters, Jerry Dean and Sarah Burgin Morris. On November 18, 2017 Fannie transitioned peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Left to cherish her precious memories: children, Debra Ann (Eugene) Kynard, Robert (Raquel) Burgin, Sr., Earskine (Darlene) Burgin, Cedric (Shine) Burgin and Willie (April) Burgin; grandchildren, Ricky Burgin, Danny Burgin, Jr., Danny Burgin, III, Kinicia Palmer, Clifton Green, Jr., Zar Burgin, Robert Burgin, Jr., Rodney Green, DeAndra Burgin, ShiDrial Green, LaShaun Jordan and Danny Jordan; loving and kind sisters, Annie Singleton, Velma Robinson, Sandra Burgin and Hazel Burgin Ross; one devoted brother, Jesse Burgin; special friends, Virginia Flood Danner and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
