Eric was born to the parents of Eric C. Pippens, Sr. and Angela D. Pippens on August 1, 1993 in Birmingham, AL. Eric was reared in the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church (Pastor David Craig) and the Spring Chapel Baptist Church (Rev. Charlie Pippen) with his parents. He confessed Christ under the leadership of Pastor William H. Walker, Sr. and was baptized at the New Bethlehem Baptist Church. There he remained a faithful member until death. He was educated in the Fairfield School System and later in the Jefferson County School System. He graduated from McAdory High School in May 2011. Eric played football during his high school years at McAdory High School. After graduating, he attended the ITT Technical School where he was on the Dean's List. Eric was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Melna Pippens; an aunt, Hattie Wedgeworth; two uncles, James Pippens and Herbert Brown. He departed this life for glory on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Children's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving parents, Eric C. Pippens, Sr. and Angela D. Pippens; a loving sister and brother, Ashley M. Pippens and Quinn S. Pippens; paternal grandparents, Rev. Charlie & Linda Pippens; maternal grandmother, Velma Turner; maternal grandfather, Harold Turner; great grandparents, Othis Pippens, James (Freddie) Pippens and Hattie Turner; four aunts, Temekia D. Simpson, Alisha Turner, Maegaine Turner and Tamika Turner; a stepmother, Jocelyn Pippens; a special aunt, Catherine Brown; a special cousin, Darien Simpson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
