Emmanuel Jones

Emmanuel D'Wayne Jones, born to the late Bruce D. Jones and Renese R. Jones, was born on March 29, 1996, at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

At the age of 16, he confessed hope and faith in Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church Roosevelt under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Palmore, Sr.

He was educated in Birmingham City Schools and graduated from Huffman High School in 2014. He was an avid football player at Huffman High School and later attended Alabama A&M University.

With the inspiration and guidance of Jesus, his Savior, he received the desire and passion like his father and purchased his own truck, then became an independent contractor in the trucking industry. He was employed with Maverick Trucking Company, Blair Logistics, and O&I Trucking.

On April 21, 2019, the love of his life, daughter Ki'Laiya Elise Jones was born. When they looked at each other, it was like love at first sight. His greatest inspiration was his daughter and during their daddy-daughter's time, he loved taking her to the jump park, swimming, skating, and the movies. But his greatest joy of all was just being her dad.

He was preceded in death by his father Bruce D. Jones; grandmother, Brunetta S. Jones and grandfather, Bobby J. Coleman.

He leaves to treasure the priceless memories of his journey with his loving mom, Renese R. Jones; daughter, Ki'Laiya E. Jones of Birmingham. AL; brother, Anthony D. Jones of Atlanta, GA; grandparents, Lovel Cathey and Elbert, Sr. (Mary) Jones, all of Birmingham, AL; aunts, Barbara J. Coleman, Michele Coleman, Syreeta J. Woods, Valencia Jones and Lucinda B.Coleman, all of Birmingham, AL; uncles, Elbert Jones, Jr., Robert J. Coleman, all of Birmingham, AL, Kevin S. (Kiana) Coleman of Atlanta, GA and a host of special aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
