Elizabeth Carter Peterson entered into this life on October 28, 1933 in Bessemer, Alabama to the late Dan Carter, Sr. and the late Velma Hearns-Carter. She entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday – September 8, 2022.
She united in Holy Matrimony on June 11, 1950 to the late Richard Peterson. She later joined Little Antioch Baptist Church, now named New Antioch Baptist Church. She loved PEOPLE. She would give even when she didn’t have it to give and didn’t expect anything in return. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Dan and Velma Carter, Sr.; Husband: Richard Peterson; Daughters: Carolyn Kelly, Wanda Peterson Ward and Annette Hill; Siblings: Earnest Lee Carter, Louise Whatley, Ruby Dean Dial, Shirley Jean Eddins, Freddie Lee Carter, Dorothy Faye Carter-Smith, Donald Alfred Carter, Mary Frances Luvert and many Uncles, Aunts, In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Three Daughters: Delores Peterson, Marsha Acoff and Jeanette Peterson of Bessemer, AL; Brother: Dan (Nonnie) Carter, Jr of Columbus, OH; Sister-in-Law: Edna Carter of Columbus, OH.; Eighteen Grandchildren: Joseph Peterson, Ikeda (Eric) Deloach, Yolanda (Edward) Wren, Christopher Peterson, Carl (Adrienne) Acoff, Jr, LaSonja Kelly, Quentin Jones, Markus Acoff, Angela Peterson, Hayward Peterson, Tonya Peterson, Ahmad Kelly, Monica Hill, Tiffany Peterson, Eric Kelly, Quinton Amerson, Darius Hill and Jayla Peterson; Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren; Six Great- Great Grandchildren; Adopted Sons: Pastor Tony Ware and Kevin Irving and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other Relatives and Friends.
