Eleanor Tyson

It was a blessed event on July 20, 1947. An earthly angel named Eleanor Marie Williams Tyson, was born to the late Mr. Bryant and Mrs. Eloise Williams.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bryant Williams, Jr. and sister, Addie Fields.
At an early age, she confessed Christ at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church. Later, he joined Agape Worship Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Eric Harris.
She was educated in the Birmingham Public School System and graduated from Wenonah High School in 1965. In 1978, she furthered her studies at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Eleanor recently graduated in 2020 from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.
Eleanor Tyson retired from the United States Postal Service 1991. For many years, Eleanor owned and operated her own tax service.
Many were blessed, including her family and friends, with her love for cooking. Ms. Tyson was well known for her kitchen table conversations. With her sensational smile, remarkable sense of humor and outgoing personality, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She could literally alter the energy in any room with her huge smile. Eleanor was free spirited and really loved her family.
Her love of life and sweet spirit will forever be embraced and cherished by those who loved her, especially her loving children: three daughters, Vivica (Anthony) McCollough, Aquanette Tyson and Leslie (Corey) Madison; one son, Melvin, Jr. (Tygianna) Tyson; grandchildren, Carol Peals, Justin (Valencia) Mims, Channing Mims, Aderrica (Marquelle) Tyson, Jared Agee, Jaquese Williams, Shamia McCollough, Shermiria (Josephus) Smith, Brianna Durr, Malik Williams, Tabari Davis, Aniya Tyson, Gianna Davis, Aiden Williams, Zakari Tyson and Gabrielle Madison; great grandchildren, An’dricka, Kendall, Jaelyn, Justin, Jr., Alijah, Markell, J’Narion, Skylar, Journi, Xavier, Jr. and Madison; three sisters, Janice (Gregory) Collins, Juana Hill and Deloris Small; one brother, James (Lila) Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
