Doris Allen

Ms. Doris Ann Allen was born on July 20, 1954, to the late Jennie Ann Flanigan and Tom Paige in Perry County, Uniontown, Alabama.  She received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young girl and later joined First Baptist Church Roosevelt in Birmingham, Alabama, where she remained a member until her untimely passing.
Doris obtained her early schooling from Roosevelt Elementary she received her formal education in the Bessemer City School District, she graduated from Abrams High School in 1974. Doris was a selfless, generous, vibrant, loving and devoted mother and grandmother that took great pride in caring for her family and close friends.
Although Doris time here on earth may seem stunted, the impact she had on everyone she came in contact with, was beyond remarkable.
She departed this life on May 13, 2019, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.  Her father Tom Paige, mother Jennie A. Flanigan, and her brother Sylvester D. Allen preceded her in death.
The Life and Legacy of Doris Ann Allen’s memories will be forever cherished by her two loving and dedicated children: son, Pernell D. Allen (Tonya), daughter Latoya Gray, six grandchildren, Jaden Allen, Jorden Allen, Makhel Griffie, Heaven Archie, Truth Archie, and Heartlynn Archie, stepfather, David Flanigan, sister, Raynell Patrick (Malcolm).  Three nieces: Michelle Gray, Teleighah Chaney, Shiquillia Gladney, nephew, Sidney Saxton, and a host of special cousins, family, and friends.
