Donald A Knox was born October 12, 1955. He was the second of seven children born and reared by the late Isaac G. Knox and Sarah Chaney Knox. "Donnie" as he was affectionately called by his family, confessed Christ at an early age at Sixth Avenue Beulah Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Marshall. Later he joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Reginald Calvert. He was a graduate of Wenonah High School Class of 1974. He also attended Lawson State Community College, where he obtained certificates in Brick Masonry and Culinary Arts. "Donnie" was employed at Southern Ductile and US Pipe until retirement in 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie F. Knox, and Adrienne Knox. "Donnie" transitioned from this life to eternity on November 30, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center.
Left to cherish his memories are one son, Dalandus (Nicole) Knox; stepdaughter, Yukenna Bailey; grandchildren, Jordyn, Kimmiah, Damien, Darion, Jerymiah, and Legaci; siblings, Benny (Cheryl), Isaac (Shelia), Jeffery, and Jimmy (Thomasina) Knox, Joe (Shirley) Evans, Willie Thomas, Ardell Scarbrough, Loretta Knox-Green, Vanessa (Tony) Stallworth, Chaunty Coleman, Teresa Winston, and Shantae Knox; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Knox; three brothers-in-laws; two sister-in-law, special family. The Carters (Carolyn, Edward, Eddie (Roshawanda), Jeffery, and Quentin); life long best friends, Jacob Brand, Tommie L. Johnson, Jerome Pickens, and Fernando Smith; a special friend ad caregiver, Cathy Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
