Denetrius R. Vance Patton (Renée), born June 28, 1954, to the union of Rhodelia Bell Patton and Andrew Patton in Bessemer, Alabama. Denetrius R. Vance Patton, affectionately known as Renée was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Renée accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, becoming a dedicated member of Starlight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Leon Glover.
She excelled in her studies at Jefferson County Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1972 from McAdory High School. Following her passion for welding, she pursued her studies at Lawson State Community College and later worked at Pullman Standard and US Steel.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 2:20 p.m., this gentle and kind soul transitioned from her earthly life to her heavenly home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shamada Patton; her parents, Andrew and Rhodelia B. Patton and her best girlfriend, Glenda Faye Finley.
Her precious loving memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her two beautiful children, Martrius C. Vance and Mikeya L. Vance; her two grandchildren, Cadarius L. Jackson and Adonis J.J. Warrick; her sisters, Gerald D. Stevenson, Beadie J. Patton, Deborah A. Stallworth Young (Ronald) of Detroit, MI; her aunt, Louise Bell; her "Tee Tee Babies," Alicia Steele (De'Arrius), Kelsey, Kensley Steele; her Homegirls, Clothilde Atmore, Veronica Hannah, Jill Holaday and Tina Miller, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her extended Muscoda Community Family.
