A TIME TO BE BORN
Debra Ann Young Stewart was born on October 8, 1951, to the late Mrs. Eunice Delois Young and the late Mr. Alex John White, Sr.
A TIME TO LIVE
At an early age, she confessed Christ. She served as a faithful member of New Bethlehem Baptist Missionary Church under the leadership of Reverend W. H. Walker as a steward and on several auxiliaries until declining health. Even though her health limitations prevented her from attending the physical building, she enjoyed the Live Stream under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Jefferson Rogers.
A TIME OF GROWTH
Through her education in the public school system, the early years were at J. S. Abrams High School. Additionally, she became a proud graduate in the Class of 1969 from Carver High School. Various options were available to her as she did further studies throughout the years at Bessemer Beauty School and then Sewing School. Nonetheless, she received an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Lawson State Community College.
A TIME TO SERVE
Motherhood and the nourishment of others were her greatest accomplishments, which increased as she became a grandmother and great grandmother. Not only did she dedicate her life to her children and family, also, she had a deep passion for the elderly and less fortunate. Tee GoGo or Tee Boom as she was known to her nieces and nephews, was a gifted and skilled individual.
Her employment and service to others were widespread. She was employed at Raytheon Manufacturing Company in 1974 in Massachusetts. For a lengthy period, she successfully operated as a state licensed cosmetologist and as a Master seamstress. Her organizational skills and abilities to assist others worked well during her tenure with the Bessemer Housing Authority and the Department of Human Resources. Her gift to operate in various capacities allowed her to perform well at various cleaners as well as render outstanding service as a caregiver for several prominent families in Birmingham and surrounding areas.
