Deborah was born September 28, 1959 to George Hunter and Christine Hunter Davidson in Birmingham, Alabama. Her father preceded her in death. Deborah's elementary school days were completed in Germany. She graduated from Anderson High School in Anniston, Alabama. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. After moving back to Birmingham, she united with Allen Temple AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lugenia Johnson. She was active in Sunday School and the choir until her health began to fail. Deborah joined the Army in October of 1986. She received an honorable discharge in October of 1994.

Davidson; loving stepfather, Claude Davidson; daughters, Ghymea Harris and Febra Nichole Miles; sons, Lee Darrius McGaughy and Demaroke Cook; brothers, George (LaDonna) Hunter, III, Antonio (Toni) D. Hunter, Donald (Michelle) Hunter and Michael (Sherrod) Hunter; five grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
