David Lee Moss, Jr. was born October 14, 1922 in Bessemer, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. David L. Moss, Sr. He attended Westfield High School and Wenonah Technical School as an Automotive Mechanic. David also served six years in the United States Navy where he earned served in the World War II and earned the Purple Heart Award. After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy, David worked at Woodward Iron Company where he later retired. David made his transition from earth to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, November 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by: parents, David L. Moss, Sr. & Eva Moss; sister, Eva Moss and three brothers. David will always be remembered by his loving and devoted wife: Ola M. Moss; six sons, David Moss, III, Trollis Moss, Eric Moss, Thomas Moss, Matthew (Irene) Stewart, Michael (Norma) Stewart; two daughters, Gwendolyn Moss and Joyce Moss; two sister; Queen Nunn, Mary Moss; four sisters-in-law, Amy Madison, Nellie Austin, Louvenia (Cleaveland) Giles, and Claudine (Willie) Steele; two brothers-in-law, Jimmie (Teresa) Thomas and Arthur (Trumenda) Thomas; granddaughter, Tameka (Luther) Young; grandsons, Michael Stewart, Jr. and Christopher Stewart; and a host of other relatives and friends.
