Corine Turner

Mrs. Corine Anderson Turner was born on December 14, 1917 to the late Mr. Mose and Mrs. Zetta Anderson. She departed this life on February 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her (husband) Willie Turner, Sr., (daughter) Willie Mae Turner, (son) James Turner and (grandson) Elliot Turner. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at the Shady Grove Baptist Church of Uniontown, Alabama Later in life she became a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama where she served as a faithful member of the Senior Usher Board. She served as the overseer of the Junior Usher Board, whom she loved. Left to cherish her memory are: three sons, Willie Turner, Jr. Bessemer, AL., Samuel Turner of Bay Shore, New York, and Jimmy Turner Bessemer, AL.; one sister-in-law, Annie Johnson of Bessemer, AL.; two brothers-in-law, Randolph (Betty) Witherspoon and Jimmy Witherspoon both of Bessemer, AL.; one daughter-in-law, Willie Dale Turner, Bessemer, AL.; nine grandchildren, Cleophus Turner, Bessemer, AL., Teretia Jones, Birmingham, AL., Jimmy Herring, Lackawanna, New York, Roderick Turner, Birmingham, AL., Le'Tonue Rutledge, Bessemer, AL., Jason Turner, Rockville, MA., and Arkeitta Mitchell, Bessemer, AL.; eighteen great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
