Christine Davidson

Christine W. Hunter Davidson was born on February 28, 1939, to the late Earl Lee and Mary C. Wilson in Wilcox County, Alabama. Later, her family relocated to Bessemer, Alabama.
At an early age, Christine was brought into the union of Christ. She joined Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Bessemer, Alabama. As a faithful member at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, she was an active usher and loyal member of the funeral committee.
Her early childhood education was received through the public school system in Bessemer, Alabama. However, in 1984, Christine completed required studies and training to become a proud graduate from Lawson State Community College. As a certified and licensed entrepreneur in Cosmetologist, she went on to spend more than fifteen years in her beauty salon as owner and operator. Loyalty and dedication only begin to describe how passionate she was about her work and the diversity of the clientele she served.
For more than twenty years, she shared love and motherhood with her husband, the late George Hunter, Jr. Together they were loving parents to five children.
In 1986, she met the late Claude Davidson and they were married on May 11, 1992. Together they enjoyed and shared many outstanding years. Collectively, they shared some common interest and favorite pastimes. At the top of their list was their respective families and traveling. Additionally, Christine embraced every opportunity to love and share her love with her children and grandchildren.
Christine had a loving, yet charming personality and was always approachable. Also, she had a special fondness for arts and crafts, puzzling, sewing, traveling and lastly, cooking.
On June 18, 2022, Christine W. Hunter Davidson transitioned into eternal life. Awaiting her arrival was Earl Lee and Mary C. Wilson, her parents; George Hunter, Jr. and Claude Davidson, her husbands; Ethel Lee Wilson, her sister; Richard Wilson, her brother and Deborah Harris, her loving daughter.
Christine fond memories will be cherished and remembered mostly by her children, George (LaDonna) Hunter, Antonio (Toni) Hunter, Donald (Michelle) Hunter and Michael (Shawn) Hunter; grandchildren, George IV, Demarco, Lee Darius, Nichole, Ghymea, Antonio, Jr, Christina, Antoinette, Taylor, Allison, Kimberly, Deiontae, Ichelle, Brittany and Sidney; great grandchild, Tzanzure; her sister, Beatrice Hunting; special and devoted friends, Miriam Terry, Eric Baylor, Jim and Barbara Jackson and Dean and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
