Cedric Wayne Fitch affectionately known as Ced, was born to Manuel Fitch and the late Kathleen Ash Fitch in Bessemer, AL on June 12, 1966. He was the second of six children. Cedric was baptized at an early age and joined the Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a faithful member of the Caregivers Ministry. Cedric was a 1984 graduate of Jess Lanier High School. A dedicated and hardworking man Cedric was employed with the Wynfrey Hotel for fourteen years, after which he became employed by the City of Birmingham Parks and Recreation Board at the Sandusky Recreation Center. While there Cedric touched the lives of so many of the children who visited the center in a positive way. Cedric loved the children and the children loved "Mr. Ced". A jovial man, anytime you would see Cedric he had a smile on his face. Ced had an everlasting love for his family, the elderly, children, automobiles and Alabama football. A kind hearted man with a caring spirit, Ced would help anyone in need. All you had to do was call; he was a loyal friend to many. Cedric departed this life on March 13, 2014. Cherished memories of Cedric's love for his family, his heart of gold and his genuine smile will forever remain with: father, Manuel Fitch; brothers, Manuel Ash and Terry (Carmelita) Fitch; sisters, Cynthia (Keith) Butler, TaLisa (Robert) Portis and Sheree (Raynard, Sr.) Fleming; nephews, Justin Williams and Raynard Fleming, Jr.; nieces, KaTavia (Angelo) Parker, KaTara Dudley, LaKia and LaKeithia Butler, RaGene Fleming, Ashley (Antonio) Rayford, Darnisha (Gary) Herron; great nephew, Elijah Fitch; great nieces, MaKayla and Aubrey Rayford; fiancé, Terri Byrd; step-daughters, Amber Byrd, Queneithia and D'Anjil Eason; godsons, Keyvon Phillips and Conelius Gibbs, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
