Obituary
Catherine B. Conwell was born on February 1, 1963 to the late Brazie James and Shirley Ann Brown in Bessemer, Alabama. Her education started in the Bessemer School System at an early age; later in life Catherine successfully completed her coursework and earned her high school diploma. Being invested in the word at an early age, she joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Hillman Station, where Dr. Edward Rodgers serves as pastor, and remained a member for over 40 years until her health began to decline. Having the heart and willingness to help others, Catherine became a Certified Nursing Assistant.
The joy and love she had for others went without saying. If ever a person was in need and needed help she would give her last dime. The love and warmness she shared with others will be missed.
On Tuesday, May 1, 2018 Catherine transitioned from this earthly life. Left to cherish her precious memories: children, Brazie (Allene) Brown, Tolicious (Jerome Bevelle) Brown and Quantina (Andrew Gates) Brown; grandchildren, Brooke Brown, Bailey Brown, Brazeon Brown, Decari Brown, Decerius Lacy, Quantez Brown, Aniyah Brown, Andrew and Angel Gates; sisters, Charlene (Charles) Tubbs, Vanessa (Jerome) Williams and Teresa Smith; brother, Jeffery (Betsy) Brown; uncle, Gary (Robin) Pope; aunts, Brenda (James) Augustus, Diane Redrick, Marsha McCarroll and Sharon (Carl) Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
