Carolyn Tremble Crenshaw was born July 13, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Taylor and Mary Tremble, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Campbell; husband, Cleotha Crenshaw and a brother, Taylor Tremble, Jr. Carolyn was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Reverend H.M. Morton at First Baptist Church Roosevelt City. Carolyn was a graduate of Wenonah High School, Class of 1961. She was also a graduate of Lawson State Community College, Class of 1963, with an Associates in Nursing. She was employed with the University of Alabama at Birmingham for ten years. Carolyn was a very active and supportive parent, while her daughter was in school. She was president of Fairfield High PTA; and a Band Booster Parent for the Marching Band. She was the Administrator of the Feeding Ministry at First Baptist Roosevelt for several years. She was very instrumental in the city of Fairfield, earning the First Fairfield Beautification Award for several years straight. She had a gift for gardening and ceramics. She would spend countless hours making ceramics and giving them away as gifts. Her favorite was to make black angels. Carolyn leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: a loving and devoted daughter, Veronica (Calvin) Clark; brother, Robert (Renee) Tremble; sister, Shirley Tremble; sisters-in-law, Lucy Tremble, Sally McConnico, Gail Parrish and Clara Crenshaw; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Joyce) Crenshaw and Sammie Lee Crenshaw; grandson, Cleonté Crenshaw; godchildren, Alexia Harper and Keilan Pringle; nieces, Laura, Alison (JJ), Porsche (Alfred), Charlene (Antonio), Jamia and Amaya; nephews, Cameroun, Warren, Jecory and Mylz; many devoted friends and very special friend, Debra Gamble.
