Carlos Dewayne Poole was born to James and Hattie B. Poole on December 15, 1972 in Bessemer, Alabama. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church (Mobile Junction) under the leadership of Reverend L.M. Whigum. He remained a faithful member until his death. Carlos attended Greenwood Elementary school and was a graduate of the class of 1991 from McAdory High School. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Hattie B. Poole; aunt, Ellen L. Jackson and nephew, DeVonte R. Poole. Carlos departed this life on May 6, 2013 at UAB Medical West Hospital at 6:04 A.M. He will be sorely missed by: his father, James Poole, Sr.; siblings, Patricia (Roderick) Day, LaVonia (Charlie) Washington, Felicia (Tony) Baylor, Cassandra (Walter) Smart and James Poole, Jr.; adopted daughter, Destinee Dixon; nephews and nieces, Roderick (Alexandria) Day, Jr., Charity (Walter) O'Neal, Latoyia Day, Alisha Poole, Deidra Hill, Walter Smart, Jr., Kimberly Poole, Martez Poole, CaNeshia Smart, John Dailey, Alexicia Poole, Alexis Washington, Sharon O'Neal, Walter O'Neal, Jr., and Alonte Hill; aunts, Christine Duff, Brenda (Lee) Williams, Hattie and Fannie Thomas; uncles, Clifford (Irene) Thomas, David Church, Gabe Church and Tommie Scott; special friends, Kachita Myricks and Eddie Lee Rush, Jr.; numerous special cousins, children and friends of the Mobile Junction Community.
